Canvassing Update
Canvassing in Brinleck / Glassagh area went very well, everyone was very welcoming and positive. I would like to thank my canvassers who were very helpful and able to get my message out there. Many thanks–go raibh mile maith agaibh uilig.
We had an excellent night in Teach Jack on Sunday night to finish off and I would like to thank everyone for a job well done. It was brilliant in every way.
I was canvassing through Gweedore all week and had good results everywhere and once again a great canvassing team to keep it up.
We had a good night to finish the canvassing on Monday in Mickeys of Derrybeg excellent turnout for the meeting and good crack at the gathering afterwards.
Pádraig, well done you were asked on Saturday the 9th of May while out canvassing in the Glassagh area if you could do anything on the upper Glassagh road. You promised to look into it and on Tuesday the 11th of May the Council had the pot holes filled in. Now thats what i call an efficent job. Well done your true to your word and you continue to maintain the local area. You are the local councillor that supports the local person
Padraig:
It’s great to see you take the internet by storm and bring this “SOAP BOX” to the people. We never get enough opportunities to ask the hard questions, much the same as a place for all to hear the answers. This only makes me happier that a public area exists for my questions and all others. I hope the other candidates take stock of the fact that that you are here, out in the open asking for people to get involved. My questions is a simple one…i heard that a while back there were no life belts on the the piers due to youthful stealing and abandonment but when the request was put to you it was sorted out in a manner of days! Now! What can we do about the utter disrespect for our natural and picturesque beaches. If our land requests tourists and our beaches showcase our disgusting habits what can be done about it?
I look forward to your response.
Yours in cleanliness
Nora
Go raibh maith agat glad to be of service–together we can do a lot, we can win out
It’s all down to education is’nt it at primary, secondary, third level and adult education, ongoing and never ceasing– but all people in authority must support it and be part of the effort to deliver a cleaner environment. I’m willing and able and I commend all those who are hard at work in their communities doing this work–work initiated locally will win out–so we have a big hill to climb lets get the show on the road.
Regards
Pádraig
