The ongoing exploration is to be welcomed but any finds should be shared with the people notably local farmers and fishermen and the oil companies must cooperate with the different communities to bring renewed vigour and enterprise to the areas. The wealth generated must not be allowed to leave the west coast without first of all sharing the benefits with the local people.
